Bicycle manufacturer Giant is recalling their Anthem X 29er bikes for a potential fall danger. Find out if you bike is affected and how to get it repaired.
Bicycle manufacturer Giant issued a voluntary recall on their Anthem X 29er after the company found that the frame can crack at the joint that fuses the seat post and top tube, posing a fall hazard to riders.
Only affects 2011 models
The Giant recall is only for the 2011 model of the Anthem X 29er 1, 2 and 3. The bikes were sold in small, medium and large and range in price from $2,200 to $3,500. Giant says that no rider injuries have been reported, but are working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall the bikes and fix the problem.

Consumers owning on of the affected Anthem X 29er should contact an authorized Giant retailer for an inspection and repair. Giant can also be contacted toll-free at 866- 458-2555 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or through their official website.
