According to Pinterest, This Unique Halloween Color Combo Is Majorly Popular This Year

Halloween means a few things for us. It’s finally acceptable to munch on candy corn throughout the day (haters to the left, that stuff tastes like pure sugary heaven), we’re going to watch Hocus Pocus like 13 times a week, and we’re going to decorate every square inch of our house with the spookiest stuff around. But according to Pinterest’s 2019 Pinfrights Report, this year you might want to leave the black and orange decor in storage. This year’s Halloween trends are a lot more colorful — and unique — than you might think.

According to the pros at Pinterest, instead of orange and black, searches for “pink Halloween decorations” are up 221 percent this year. And we’re not mincing words: We love this idea. After all, October weather can be pretty dark and gloomy in plenty of different parts of the country, so why not try to keep things light and bright in your house at least?

If a pretty-in-pink Halloween sounds like a good idea to you, check out these quirky and cute decor, food and party ideas.

7. Color your food

Why stop at the decor? Make your Halloween snacks trendy too by incorporating the light, blush pink into your baking.

8. Throw a pink and black party

We love this idea for a kid’s party! How cute are the balloons that spell out “beware of hitchhiking ghost“?

Sure, doing a traditional Halloween with black and orange decorations, witches, mummies, and vampires is always fun, but we’re absolutely here for trying a whole new look this year. Whether you opt for shimmering pink ghosts, bejeweled skulls, or pastel cookies, your Halloween decorations are bound to be lit.
