Meghan Markle may live in a royal cottage now, but when she was living and working as an actress in L.A., her home was a bit more humble. I mean, it’s still way more glamorous than anything I’ll ever live in but compared to a palace, I suppose you can call it humble. Markle’s former L.A. home was just listed for sale for a cool $1.8 million. A ton of money, yes, but considering the astronomical prices of homes in California, it’s not THAT bad.
While looking through the photos of Markle’s former home, we spotted some pretty cool design features that you don’t see in every house. Let’s take a look.

The living area is super light and open but the punches of blue and yellow breathe life into the otherwise white space. This is also where we first spotted one of the home’s coolest features — custom wrought iron bars covering the windows. You’ll see them throughout other rooms in the house and they serve as both a visual design element and extra security for the windows.

The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and every room is filled with that gorgeous California sunshine.

For a celebrity home, the kitchen isn’t too over the top but is definitely classy and chic.

You can spot those wrought iron bars again in this open and airy bedroom.

The house does not come with a pool but there is enough outdoor seating to entertain guests for an al fresco dinner.

Now, can anyone lend me $1.8 million?
