Have you heard of “The Higher Art of Lizard Love?” It’s the answer to all the world’s problems — at least according to Henry Lizardlover, self-proclaimed “eccentric man,” “Director of Earth Lizards” and, well, his surname says it all really.

Henry likes to take photographs of his lizards in various poses, whether that’s having a little bicycle ride in the studio…
Or taking a communal bath.
According to Henry, iguanas are capable of developing “wonderful calm and trust,” which allows him to train them how to “sit and pose comfortably like people.”
Henry’s mission is to spread the truth about iguanas. He claims that they are highly intelligent, sensitive creatures, with good memories and the ability to distinguish “safe from unsafe creatures.”

Every iguana is trying to make it as a Hollywood star.
Or just chilling out, waiting to be served lunch and fending off the L.A. paparazzi.
“A safe, friendly, domestic environment helps the iguana build trust,” Henry advises, but he warns that iguanas are not the ideal pet for every lizard lover because when fully grown they can “reach a size and weight (10 to 20 pounds) that becomes difficult to handle and house for some people.”
A more serious problem may present itself when the iguana turns out to be male (apparently it can be difficult to determine whether it is male or female until adulthood), because “a high percentage of male iguanas will fall under the spell of extremely vicious aggression [and] moods, anytime during their mature years [sic].”
