The video shows a 7-year-old boy and a 64-year-old man asking questions about life, love and ageing. It starts off with the lighthearted question from the elderly gentleman, “What is the worst thing about being young?” to which the young boy replies, “Well, you get lots of homework.”

It’s then the boy’s turn to ask the question, “What is the worst thing about being old?” to which the man replies, “Not being able to do things you could do when you were young.”

The pair continue their exchange, moving on to ask questions about love. While the young boy has not a care in the world thinking about his future, the older gentleman explains how he has experienced loss in his life, showing just how much life changes you in 57 years.

“I fell in love late,” he revealed. “Unfortunately, my partner, she passed away. She died unfortunately.”

The little boy is clearly moved by the story, and exclaims, “I’m going to cry.” But the older man tells him not to, explaining, “These things happen. That’s life. But I have very good memories. And often time, you live in your head with memories. You can remember all the good things, and that’s the important thing.”

The video concludes with each of them offering advice for the other.

It’s an incredibly moving, sad, but also funny video which has been viewed more than 355,000 times on YouTube, and has had a profound affect on many of the viewers.
