11 Journals to inspire everyone on your holiday list

From list-makers to wanderlusters, writing is such an important piece of expression and communication. Call me old school, but there is just something so natural about sitting down with a pen and paper — often thought provoking. While we could easily take notes in our cell phones or tablets, our fingers type faster than we can think.

With writing, it is all about intention. You make a mistake, you can cross through it versus deleting it. You still see the words you wrote and maybe they are something you want to get back to or remember.

Everyone who knows me knows that one of my favorite gifts is a journal. Whether it be leather bound, has an amazing print or quote on the cover, lined or unlined — the collection never stops growing. (Don’t even get me started on monogrammed ones!) So, this year, I have put together a gift guide — something for everyone. Read on to find the journal that fits the personality that you are ready to gift.

4. The wanderluster

The motivating quote on the front states: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” This gorgeous travel journal with a vintage world map on the cover is a wonderful gift for travelers. This journal is available to be shipped to the United States and I think it’s worth every penny. And remember, not all who wander are lost. (Not on the High Street, $22)
