Canada's new cabinet is so diverse — there's even an openly ginger member
For the first time in history, Canada has a gender-equal cabinet comprised of 15 women and 15 men.
Not only did new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is a self-proclaimed feminist, deliver on his campaign promise to elect a cabinet that was half women, but he's also appointed a cabinet that reflects the diversity of the country, which is a beautiful thing.
Facebook user Alana Phillips' analysis illustrates this perfectly:
Trudeau described his cabinet as extraordinary during a press conference yesterday, and I have to agree. From an astronaut and a member battling breast cancer to a Nobel laureate and a cabinet member with a "perfectly twirly moustache," what's not to love?
In fact, Canadians have every reason to feel proud and even more than a little bit smug.
