Target, Walmart and more stores that will be open on Thanksgiving

With stores like Lowe’s, Staples and REI recently announcing they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, you may be wondering where you can go shop for those holiday bargains or just make a run to buy the butter or wine you forgot to pick up at the grocery store. We have compiled a list of the stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

Many people want to beat the Black Friday crowds by hitting the stores on Thanksgiving Day. In fact, for some families, it has turned into a holiday tradition. This year, some retailers are bucking the trend of opening on Thanksgiving Day, leaving many anxious shoppers wondering where they can go to get an early start on holiday shopping — or to even pick up a forgotten item at the store.

Without further ado, here are the stores that will be open on or are expected to be open on Thanksgiving Day. Some retailers, including the big-box stores Walmart and Target, have not yet announced their store hours. We have included the store hours if they have been announced; otherwise, check their websites for specific holiday hours.
