When this guy’s wife went out of town for a week he didn’t invite all his mates round for a booze up. He got busy transforming the laundry room into a space that’s worthy of much more than cleaning clothes.
Imgur user Solz22 recorded the entire renovation process in photos, beginning with the “before” picture.
Pretty dull, right?
Existing cabinets are bland and uninspiring.
That fluorescent light is pretty harsh.
And those exposed plug sockets just damn annoying.

The transformation begins with a warmer wall colour.
Then snazzy new cabinets are put in, complete with stained counter top (which also hides those pesky plug sockets).
Backsplash adds texture and interest.

New cabinets get finished off with impeccable crown moulding.
And the finished product looks awesome.
With a way better light.
Let’s hope this guy is as good at doing the laundry as he is at renovating the laundry room, huh?
