There are inspiring women all around us. Teaching our children. Leading our government. Healing us. Building our self-confidence. Building our homes. Creating programs to help us, to help our children, to help our parents. There are women out there who are bringing us together in ways we never thought possible.

So why not shout out some names? There are countless hardworking women waking up each morning, setting out to do their jobs and just get through the day. And while so many of you (yes, I mean you!) may not realize it, it’s possible you are inspiring to someone around you. You don’t have to be a state senator or a neurologist to be an inspiration to others. (Though those are no small feats.) You might be inspirational because you’ve overcome an obstacle set in front of you, or because you somehow find the time to raise two kids, run your own business and still manage to be class mom, or maybe because you just take time out of your busy schedule to bring a meal to someone who needs it. Every. Single. Day.

Over the next four months, we are going to embark on a journey to introduce you to 100 women we’ve found who are all doing something special. They are inspiring because of what they’ve accomplished and because they really are just doing what comes naturally to them. They aren’t spending their days trying to be recognized; they are living out their passions and making a difference — and it is time for us to stand up to take notice.

We have chosen five different categories and will recognize 20 women in each category who prove how much talent and inspiration we can find — if we just look around. Education will come first, and then we will introduce you to women killing it in the science and technology fields, then in food, in health and in social causes, making up our inaugural #SheKnows100.

Here you will find 20 female educators who remind us how teachers can change kids' lives.

And let's not forget about the women who have inspired us. Maybe our mom, our grandmother, a mentor or a professor. Those women who've pushed us to know no boundaries. Think about, for a moment, the impact each one had on your life. She was your everyday superhero, and we would love for you to share her name with us in the comments section.

Shout out her name here for everyone to hear and share your inspirational name, socially, using #SheKnows100.
