As if staying upright on a surfboard doesn’t look hard enough (to non-surfer types like me at least), pro-surfer and model Maud Le Car has taken the sport to a whole new level of awesomeness.

Forget a wetsuit — the athlete from St. Martin in the French Caribbean donned a lace black dress and high heels to ride the waves.

Posting a link to the video on her Twitter account, Le Car implied that the stunt was the outcome of a lost bet:

However it was later suggested that the video was filmed for an advert for mosquito protection brand Para’Kito, one of Le Car’s sponsors. One of the brand's slogans is "Naturally Free," which is displayed on the screen towards the end of the clip.

It doesn’t matter whether Le Car’s stunt was for a bet or an ad campaign. It’s bloody amazing. The 23-year-old is currently ranked 15th in the world for pro-surfing — but we’d like to know how many of the top 14 can do it in an LBD and stilettos.
