Rising tennis star Kyrgios was playing Swiss opponent Stan Wawrinka when the cameras caught him slut-shaming Wawrinka's rumoured girlfriend, Donna Vekic. According to the Daily Mail, he said, "[Thanasi] Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend. Sorry to tell you that, mate."

Kyrgios ended up winning the match, and Wawrinka reacted graciously throughout, even shaking his hand at the finish. But he later took to Twitter to blast his opponent for his comments, calling his actions "disappointing" and "disrespectful."

The woman in the center of this conflict is Croatian star Donna Vekic. According to news.com.au, she has reportedly been dating Wawrinka since April, shortly after he announced his split from wife of 10 years, Ilham Vuilloud.

Tennis fans have called out Kyrgios for his comments about Vekic and have noted how they could potentially affect her reputation.
