On Wednesday, the hashtag #AskTheWorldAQuestion began trending on Twitter, and while there are many questions that are superficial, there are also tweets that dig a little deeper and might even make you reflect on the world and how your choices affect it.
One of the popular themes was to ask the world why there are double standards for the treatment of domestic animals versus farm animals, with animal rights group PETA leading the pack.

Another series of questions followed a similar theme, asking the world about the treatment of animals, including animal cruelty and experimentation.

There are also appeals to be kinder to one another, and our planet, in a quest to live in perfect harmony.

And, of course, there are tweets that really make you think about everything — maybe even reevaluate life.
