Subway spokesman Jared Fogle's house raided by police

Jul 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. ET

Jared Fogle rose to fame as a freshman at Indiana State University when he decided to go on a Subway-only diet.

He lost tons of weight and become an overnight everyman hero, starring in a series of Subway commercials.

Early this morning, Fogle, now 37, had his Indiana home raided by the feds in connection with a child pornography case. Fogle has known ties to child pornographers.

Earlier this year, the man Fogle chose to be the director of his Jared Foundation, named Russell Taylor, was arrested after police searched his home and found more than 500 videos of child pornography.

Although The Jared Foundation had severed all ties with Taylor following the arrest, officials aren't saying if this most recent raid of Fogle's house is part of the same case.

Here's more on Fogle's home raid.
