Famous mums including Victoria Beckham, Penny Lancaster, Jade Jagger, Melanie C and Fearne Cotton have donated some of their children's preloved clothes to Save the Children's Fashion Saves Lives sale, hosted by retail and fashion guru Mary Portas and supermodel Erin O'Connor.

The Fashion Saves Lives sale will be held exclusively on Mary's Living & Giving eBay Shop, beginning on June 18 and running for 10 days.

Children's fashion items will be donated daily from high end brands, designers and celebrities, including bespoke A-lister collections.

Victoria Beckham has donated 25 items from her daughter Harper's wardrobe, which won't be available to buy online but from the Primrose Hill branch of Mary's Living & Giving.

"By buying a pre-loved item from the Mary’s Living & Giving’s (sic) eBay Shop you not only give the clothes a new lease of life but you also help save the lives of children who are needlessly dying from preventable causes like pneumonia or malaria," said Mary Portas, as reported in Fashion Capital.

"I am extremely proud to be hosting such an amazing collection of fashionable donations with Mary and the team at Save the Children," said Erin O'Connor. "By purchasing a pre-loved piece for your child, you can help ensure that other children around the world have the chance to live a healthy life. Visiting India with the charity and learning that 6.3 million children currently die each year from easily treatable causes has left me feeling determined that every child should have the chance to lead the long and healthy life we all strive for, for our own children."

Save the Children supports a campaign to ensure that, at the U.N. summit in September, world leaders make a commitment to ensure that by 2030 every child has the basic healthcare that they need to survive, whoever they are and wherever they live.
