World goes crazy for Princess Charlotte memorabilia
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is only a few days old but she's already doing her bit for the U.K. economy. In fact retail experts have tipped the royal newborn as "the billion pound baby."
Professor Joshua Bamfield, director of the Centre for Retail Research, told the Daily Telegraph that Princess Charlotte could be worth a gobsmacking £150 million per year to the British economy.
He predicted that the "immediate boost" in the days and weeks after her birth could be worth around £80 million, with celebratory food and drink accounting for most of that and approximately £25 million being generated by souvenirs.
