Cat lovers and serial cat video watchers, rejoice! Because Uber Australia has decided to deliver baskets of kitties to offices to selected cities around the country between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5.
If your idea of owning a pet is watching cat videos on YouTube for three hours at a time, then we just might have a better solution for you. App-based transport network, Uber, is delivering baskets of cats to offices around Australia today for 15 minutes at a time. Fifteen minutes to pet and cuddle and play with string and curb your daily 3 p.m. office slump.
Before you get all worried about the welfare of the cats and how they’ve been used in a very sneakily adorable marketing ploy by Uber, the money raised from these trips goes towards local animal shelters. You know Uber needs to do some serious work on its image when they start bringing in the cute, furry, baby animals after their price surge during the Sydney Siege.

But the thing is, all the adorable kitties that get carted to offices around the country today are all from shelters, too, so they’re also available to adopt later if you happen to find yourself falling in love with one of them. So today, instead of pretending to work at the office when you’re watching cat videos on the sly, why not get a basket of kitties delivered straight to your desk?
