We’ve found your new Australia Day anthem: “Straya”!

The countdown to Australia Day has begun, and we’ve stumbled across the perfect anthem for the day. Get your stubby holders and barbecue plans ready, because it’s a ripper of a tune.

Instead of singing along to Triple J’s Hottest 100 this year — although we’ll probably be doing that, too — here’s a new song that is sure to give you the patriotic warm and fuzzies, or at least a good laugh.

Electro-pop artist, Terry Man, who performs under the name Coach Bombay, has released a ripper of a track called “Straya”, which is an Australian-themed track set to the tune of OutKast’s smash hit, “Hey Ya!”

Before you go rolling your eyes and expecting this to be simply a stereotypical view of Australia, there are a couple of good jibes and some funnies in there for everyone.
