Inexpensive alternatives to top designer fashions

Everyone loves designer fashion, but not all of us can afford to rush out and buy the latest labels. However, you can still get the designer look without blowing your budget for the entire year. Kmart stores across Australia are now stocking a line of designer clothing approved by internationally-renowned Hollywood stars and guess what? You can probably pick up an entire outfit for under $100.

Pretty little fashion

Ashley Benson, known for playing Hanna Marin in the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars, has collaborated with Bongo to create a cute and sassy clothing line. It includes funky dresses, tops and pants which can be teamed with a great range of accessories to create a new look for every night of the week.

Angelic style

For the more refined woman, Jaclyn Smith, one of the original Charlie’s Angels, has a more classic range of designer clothing. The look is tailored, elegant and timeless. Plus, she hasn’t forgotten to include the girls who are a little bigger and can no longer squeeze their bums into a size 16.

A modern look

Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara has designed a range of clothing that enhances womanly curves. Comfortable clothing doesn’t have to be drab, and Sofia has successfully nailed it with her new range. Oozing sophistication with a hint of oooh-la-la, the Sofia clothing line includes jackets, blazers, tops, jumpers and dresses which are not only suitable for an office environment, but also a big night out on the town.

Style to dream about

If you prefer the boho look, Selena Gomez’s new Dream Out Loud range combines casual everyday wear with a unique twist. Colours and prints can be mixed and matched to suit your personality and, like every good clothing range, it has oodles of accessories.

All Kmart celebrity clothing lines are affordably priced, putting designer wear within reach of the everyday girl. Alternatively, you can rifle through magazines and collect pictures of your favourite designer clothing, then head to an outlet centre and try and find similar items to achieve the same look.

Thrifty options

Thrift shops are a great place to find alternatives to designer fashion. If you have an eye for style, you’ll be able to select entire outfits. Some second-hand clothing stores also have aisles dedicated to designer wear instead of paying top retail prices, and only being able to afford one jacket, you can probably walk away with an entire outfit.
