Maui, Hawaii

If you and your guy are looking for some alone time in one of the most romantic places on Earth, look no further than the island of Maui. Relax and enjoy each other’s company as you explore the island’s many beaches together (Makena Beach is a favourite among tourists and locals alike), go for a scenic drive on the Hana Highway, or wine and dine at Nick’s Fish Market, located on the property of the gorgeous Fairmont Kea Lani Maui.

Vancouver, British Columbia

Looking to travel somewhere solo? Head to the West Coast to take in the breathtaking beauty that lies right within our own country. Since you’re staying on home turf, you won’t have to worry about communicating in a different language or exchanging your currency before leaving. Renting a car is a must, as you’ll want to go outside the city for a daily excursion to Whistler. Our ride of choice was the 2013 Ford Escape; the car was easy to handle and a supremely comfy ride for the entire two-hour drive. As you cruise along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, you’ll be in awe of the exceptional scenery of spectacular mountain views, gorgeous waterfalls and pretty ocean vistas. When you’re back in Vancouver, spend a day on Granville Island, checking out the market of local vendors offering everything from fine cheeses and fresh seafood to handmade arts and crafts.

Orlando, Florida

It’s the ultimate family vacation spot, and what better way to get the kids excited about March break than to bring them to Disney World? Stay at a Walt Disney World Resort, and customize your vacation based on your budget — they offer lodgings from value hotels to deluxe villas, as well as dining plan options. For a fun, educational experience, don’t miss a visit to Epcot, where you can roam the park’s World Showcase to visit pavilions representing 11 countries, including China, France, Morocco and Japan. Be sure to dine at Via Napoli, a restaurant located in the Italy Pavilion that serves superbly tasty and authentic Neapolitan pizza. The dough is light and airy with a nice crisp to it, and the toppings are fresh and flavourful — a nice meal to sit down to after walking around in the park all day.

If you’re looking to add non-Disney activities to your itinerary, the Reunion Resort is an excellent property that is ideal for families. Located in Kissimmee, just 20 minutes away from the Disney parks, this resort has a premier golf course on the property, beautifully furnished and spacious accommodations (each suite is equipped with a full kitchen as well as a washer and dryer), and there’s even an on-site water park for the kids to enjoy.
