This is the only maxi dress you need – and it’s less than $50

I found this convertible maxi by mistake while looking for another maxi dress a fellow fashion blogger featured, and let me tell you, it’s the best mistake I’ve ever made. From the moment this arrived in the mail I fell in love.

t

t The fit, the length, the number of ways you can wear it, the material, need I go on? I’m sharing just three of many ways it can be worn: strapless, halter and cross-halter.

Strapless

t Admittedly, my favorite way to wear this dress is strapless because I love the sweetheart neckline. It’s very romantic and great for a date night with your man. The bodice of the dress is two very long and thick straps that allow you to wrap the top in various ways and tie it in the back. I was concerned that it may not be very secure as a strapless, but I was wrong because it didn’t budge. I chose to pair it with a chunky statement necklace which also determined how I wore my hair. I didn’t want my hair and the necklace competing so I tied it in a side chignon and let the necklace do the talking. If I wore a slimmer necklace I’d have worn my hair down with beach waves for a more relaxed vibe.

t

Halter

t For a little more coverage and everyday wear I like the halter style. I kept my hair and accessories the same for this photo shoot, but if I were going to wear this dress to run errands I would leave my hair down, forgo the necklace and throw on some wedges.

t

Cross Halter

t Wearing this as a cross halter shows more skin with the cut-outs and is overall a tad more daring. I would save this one for girls’ night out. Since the neckline is higher with this particular style, it’s best worn without a necklace so it’s not too busy up top. The same goes for hair. Wearing your hair down with high necklines tends to shrink your neck even more, so if you wear it up and off your face it lengthens your neckline for that model-esque look.

t For less than $50 you really can’t go wrong with this little number.
