Product review: Venus Embrace Sensitive

We’re testing Venus’ new Embrace Sensitive razor. Find out how it measures up to our expectations!

Product review: Venus Embrace Sensitive Name this product:

Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive Razor (drugstores nationwide, SRP: $10-$13)

What the product claims to do:

This new razor gives women a closer shave with less irritation. It features five thin floating blades spaced closely together for reduced pressure per blade. The blades adjust to the natural contours of a woman’s body and allow the blades to sit flatter on the skin.

How it worked for me:

I noticed a close shave and pain-free, moisturized skin afterwards. A lot of times after using a razor, my sensitive skin stings or feels tight, but this razor didn’t produce those negative after effects.

How this product looks and feels:

The color of the razor’s handle is a really pretty mint green. It feels smooth to the touch and easy to hold in your hand. The razor itself is strong and sharp without being abrasive, and the moisture ribbon helps provide a welcome barrier between the skin and the blade.

What I liked about this product:

I loved the moisture ribbon! It helped provide that necessary padding that sensitive skin requires when shaving.

I would recommend this product for:

Women with sensitive skin or women looking for a smoother feeling shave.
