DIY burlap, ribbon & lace garland
Love those fancy tissue banners you see on Pinterest and Etsy but can't fathom spending $60 on them? Forget buying and make your own with this fun and unique DIY!
Made from sparkly ribbon, lace and burlap, this DIY is cheap to make (as in, it won't cost more than $20 to assemble). What we love most about this banner is how versatile it is. Make it work for any time of year with bright or patterned ribbons to take you from season to season and holiday to holiday!
- 1/2 yard of burlap
- 1/2 yard of white burlap
- 1 spool of glitter ribbon
- 1/2 yard of lace
Cut the materials
Stack the materials and line them up with a ruler. We made ours about 20 inches. Then cut 20 pieces out of the burlap, white burlap, glitter ribbon and lace (4 pieces each).
Tie materials to the twine
To make it easy, tie the twine to the back of a dining room chair.
Then carefully tie each piece of material to the twine.
Hang the banner wherever you'd like and enjoy!
