How to shop for your body type in the fall

With the cooler months just ahead, it’s important to stay true to your style and complement your body shape without hiding your unique physique under all of those layers!

Ladies, let’s face it. We see fashion on TV and on celebrities and instantly get drawn in. The truth is, we get caught up in what everyone else is wearing instead of picking the clothes and accessories that would best fit our individual body types. To save time (and unnecessary embarrassment) it’s important to know the do’s and don’ts for your body type so you can march into that store with the confidence you desire and deserve.

An important goal is to elongate this curvy body. The hourglass shape is all about dressing the top and bottom halves proportionally. Accentuating the waist and legs is a top priority for this figure, which can be accomplished with fitted dresses and belted tops, as well as A-line skirts and high-waist pants. You’ve got the curves, so flaunt them!

Fortunately, there aren’t many things an hourglass figure can’t pull off, but there are still a couple of things to be aware of. For a body that is curvy on both the top and bottom, it’s best to stay away from accessories and clothing that are too bulky. It’s also a good idea to stay away from crazy prints and patterns simultaneously on the top and bottom, which can make the outfit chaotic.
