Rihanna isn’t a one-and-done fashion designer. Her Rihanna for River Island co-designer, Adam Selman, confirmed that there will be another collection this year.
Rihanna’s collection for River Island is… interesting, to say the least. Critics may hate it, but the singer’s designs — like her odd denim-on-denim creation — are selling out on River Island’s website.
And, naturally, the suits behind River Island are happy.
So happy that RiRi’s co-designer, Adam Selman, confirmed that they’ll work together on more designs.
“We’re already in the works with River Island for the fall/winter collection,” Selman told MTV Style this week, adding that they started talks for the new collection the day after the London Fashion Week show.

What can we expect from the line? More bold prints and envelope-pushing style, we’re sure.
“We all have the same idea of what ‘chic’ is at the moment, as much as I hate that word,” Selman told Elle recently. “It is more about the woman and the ease and beauty. A woman [should] wear a dress as opposed to the dress wearing her.”
“It is very collaborative,” Selman’s partner, Mel Ottenberg, agreed. “But she has great style, and she is not a mass-produced creation of me.”
We just hope it contains more of the stronger stuff from the spring/summer collection — like the slash-back sleeveless dress ($125) — and not the weird stuff — like the tied denim shirt zip-front skirt ($125).
