At the Billboard Music Awards, we were more interested in what the celebrities were wearing — their gowns, their hair and their makeup — than the winners. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest beauty trends that we spotted on Sunday night.
Bold hair color
Katy Perry can pull off any hair color, from pastel blue to bright pink. And at the Billboard Music Awards, she showed how to rock the purple locks. We loved how she wore purple lipstick too as a nice complement to her lilac gown.
Banging bangs
Taylor Swift’s hair always looks amazing and Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards was no exception. Swift wore her hair long and straight with the perfect fringe. Taylor also flaunted metallic lined eyes.
Obvious roots
While last year’s ombre hair trend was subtly blended from root to tip, this year we are seeing a lot more blondes rockin’ the dark roots. Carrie Underwood does it beautifully.
Retro eyeshadow
The bright blue eyeshadow from the ’70s and ’80s is trendy once again. Brandy wears it right and it’s the ideal partner for her curly ‘do.
