Summer's must-have paint colors for your home
Say bye-bye to those white walls and incorporate the perfect designer hue in each room of your home.
Foyer. "For a summery pop of color, paint a recycled piece of furniture a vibrant shade and place it at your entrance," say Milton Miller and Lamont Bynum, co-owners of Miller Bynum Design. "You'll have them at hello." This vintage dresser comes to life with Riviera by Maison Blanche Paint Company:
Kitchen. Consider trendy coral. "Coral matched with just about any shade of blue screams summer," say Miller and Bynum. "We're partial to pairing it with peacock blue this season — the contrast is rich and soothing at the same time." Here, Youthful Coral 170B-5 on the walls sets off the beauty of the Aruba Blue P480-6 cabinets and Cupcake Pink M160-1 trim (all by Behr):
Dining room. Sometimes the best summer shades are drawn from Mother Nature. This gorgeous space serves up bold colors that convey a warm-weather vibe. This Benjamin Moore palette features Teal Ocean 2049-30 on the walls, Brookside Moss 2145-30 on the door and Decorators White PM-3 on the trim.

Sun porch. HGTV Home™ by Sherwin-Williams features a Coastal Cool color palette that includes breezy shades such as Sea Salt SW 6204, Coastal Plain SW 6192, Wheatgrass SW 6408 and Pier SW 7545. Combine the hues to create the perfect "beach cottage" room.
Guest room. Metal is back in a big way, but it can feel wintry. Charlotte Skiba, owner of Charlotte Interiors, likes pairing metallic pieces with a warm, romantic color like Sherwin-Williams Innocence SW 6302. "This is a nice pink that doesn't scream girl's room," says Skiba.
Front door. If you can't take your house to the beach, bring the beach to your house. "Change your door color and shutters to island shades, like a sea breeze for the season," say Miller and Bynum. Welcome guests with Glidden's 2015 Color of the Year: Caribbean Sea 56BG 23/355.
Accent furniture. For summer, professional home stager Tori Toth like's Benjamin Moore's Razzle Dazzle 1348… in small doses. "This is a bold color, so use sparingly," says Toth. "It can look great on accent furniture or on one wall, and it's a cheerful complement to neutral colors."

Patio. Dee Schlotter, national color brand manager for PPG's The Voice of Color Program, likes the idea of finding inspiration from flower boxes and gardens. "Use the Voice of Color mobile app to capture a picture of a favorite flower," says Schlotter. "The app will pull the color from the image and match it to a color in The Voice of Color Program color palette."
