What do Americans think of haggis? (VIDEO)

It’s Burns Night on Jan. 25 and millions of Scots will be tucking into their annual portion of haggis, their country’s national dish, to celebrate the life and work of poet Robert Burns.

What happens when a group of Americans are asked to try haggis? You can probably guess. Our favourite responses include “It”s sour meat that’s shaped like couscous — so gross,” “I literally think I might throw up” and “It does taste a little bit like socks.” But let’s face it: it’s a dish even many Scots struggle to love.
