Ice cream cone cupcakes recipe

Serve this sweet treat at summer birthday parties!

Cupcake cones

It looks like fresh dipped ice cream with all the toppings, but it’s actually a compote of cupcake baked in your oven and swirled with your favorite colorful frosting! It tastes so rich and yummy you might not realize you’re not licking your favorite ice cream flavor!

Fill a table with colored frostings, fruits, sprinkles and other favorite toppings to have a “decorate your own” sweet treats party for your child’s next birthday or funday!

  • Fresh fruit — bananas, strawberries, blueberries
  • Sauces — chocolate, butterscotch, caramel, strawberry

Step one

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step two

Prepare your favorite cake batter from scratch or from a mix.

Step three

Stand your cones up in a muffin pan to keep them from falling over and fill each cone a little more than halfway with your batter. This is important because we want the cupcakes to rise enough to look like a dip of ice cream but not so much that it runs over the sides.
