Hopper brings us some more crafty ideas with Halloween votives. The perfect adult craft, this will shed some light on the holiday season. You can even get the kids to help you decorate these. Not only are they easy to make, but they are certainly functional!
You will need:
- Elmer’s glue/Mod podge
- Clear jar
- Orange crepe paper
- White tissue paper
- Black construction paper
What you do:
Take the mod podge (if you have a limited amount or it isn’t fresh you can combine it with Elmer’s glue) and lightly coat the jar.
Take crepe paper and put it on the clear jar. You can do the same with the tissue paper.
Give the jar another coat mod podge. It is important to dab gently so you don’t tear and wipe the crepe paper away.
Create and cut out faces from the black construction paper. Place them on the jar.
Wait for the jars to dry. Once dry, you can put another coat of mod podge to ensure that everything stays in place.
Place a candle inside the jar and your votive is complete.
