Christmas recipes for Cognac cocktails

Cognac is a classic ingredient in eggnog around the holidays or sipped as a relaxing after dinner drink. Cognac can also be used to make festive Christmas cocktails. Before you reach for that eggnog, try these Christmas recipes for Cognac cocktails.


Christmas Cocktail Recipes

Christmas Citrus

Makes 1 serving

3/4 ounce Cognac
1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
1/4 ounce Campari
3 ounces Champagne
One slice of orange

Combine Cognac, Grand Marnier, and Campari in a cocktail shaker or tall glass filled half way with ice. Stir with a long spoon. Strain into a wine goblet and top with Champagne and an orange slice.

Winter Warmer

Makes 1 serving

A perfect cocktail for Christmas festivities.

1-1/2 ounces Cognac
1 ounce creme de cacao
1 ounce half and half
1/4 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick

Combine Cognac, creme de cacao, and half and half in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until frothy and strain into a cocktail glass. Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon or stir with cinnamon stick.

Mint Cookie

Makes 1 serving

Sip for a refreshing minty lift on Christmas.

4 ounces Cognac
2 ounces apricot liqueur
8 ounces orange juice
2 ounces mint syrup

Combine Cognac, apricot liqueur, orange juice and mint syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Top with fresh mint leaves.
