Here are some of my all-time favorite swimming games for a child’s pool party, which will also work for your Hello Kitty Party:

Treasure Dive: Two teams and adult supervisor have each team stand on a different side of the pool. Then adult supervisor goes to the middle of the pool and toss in a bunch of treasures (it can be things that float and also things that sink). See which team can bring back the most.

Kitty Race: Adult supervisor will line all the kids up on the edge of the pool and whistle when everyone is ready. The kids jump in and begin to kitty paddle (more commonly known as a dog paddle) to the other side, get out and meow three times. The first one to finish wins.

Water Limbo: You’ll use a garden hose and turn it on full. Put your thumb over the left or right half of the opening to create one jet of water. Have kids limbo under the stream of water. Each time the group walks under the water you lower it. The non-winners (aka losers) are obvious because they get soaked.

Tug-O-War: You will put a rope across the pool and whichever team loses falls in like dominoes.

Enjoy your Hello Kitty pool party!
