Hosting a back-to-school bash, contributing blogger Jen at Hostess with the Mostess threw a "soaring to new heights" party for the kiddos. Equipped with an airplane cake, cloud cupcakes and plane cake pops for treats, Jen added a "baggage claim" station filled with a flight log and flying supply crafts to keep the kids entertained. We love the small details that include airline ticket invites and a DIY passport that make this party one to remember during the entire flight to school.

Fly into summer

Using her airplane theme party as a way for her boys to "fly into summer," Kristen at Spaceships and Laser Beams got creative with DIY projects and items she already had around her home. Using a map, a large foam airplane from the Dollar Tree and a travel box from Home Goods as a backdrop, Kristen upcycled the cake stand, scale and suitcase from around her home. With washi tape and printables, Kristen created a fun way to serve plane-themed treats to her boys and their guests. We love the modern and vintage appeal to this flying fun party.

You can purchase your own plane party props from the Spaceships and Laser Beams Etsy shop.

Steering away from the traditional airplane decor scheme, Marisol from Modishly Delish shared her aviation party with the ladies at Hostess with the Mostess. Choosing "3rd fighter squadrons" as her inspiration, Marisol was able to host her aviation party at a local museum featuring historic planes! With a gorgeous backdrop, Marisol made crew passes for all of her party attendees. Kids enjoyed jet fighter cookies, treats, drinks and a special visit from Captain America! We love the creative use of black and vintage fighter jets in this aviation birthday party.

Karrie and her teammate Elizabeth from Posh Paperie went wild for Karrie's son's first birthday bash. Going all out for "First Class Frankie," the pair created airplane-shaped PB & Js and cookies, and even served in-flight coffee for the guests. Entertaining the little attendees, Karrie and Elizabeth made paper airplane tutorials and a place for flight test-runs. We love the airplane banner and the use of the highchair as Frankie's cockpit. A great and creative way to celebrate a first-class birthday!
