Paging Nancy Drew! The quest to uncover Kate’s wedding dress designer remains a mystery after designer Bruce Oldfield went public saying it won’t be him.

The highly speculated front runner spoke with WWD the other day and put rumors to rest.

“I will not be designing it,” Oldfield said. “Catherine will undoubtably look spectactular. She has a fantastic figure and knows well what suits her. I shall be intrigued to see her choice of design.”

He’s not alone. With details from cake to guest list widely publicized, the dress is still top secret. Thankfully, we don’t have long much longer to wait until the big reveal. To tide you over,  we weigh on the likely contenders. Who do you think it will be?

McQueen’s right hand up until his 2010 death, many media are placing their bets on Burton. The edgy label would be in sync with Middleton’s penchant for high fashion. However, like Oldfield, Burton has denied any involvement with the Royal Dress.

Alice Temperley

With her relaxed boho aesthetic, Temperley was announced as the designer behind the bridesmaids dresses. Both Kate’s sister Pippa and mother Carole logged hours at Temperley’s showroom earlier in the month and sources believe she could be behind the wedding dress, too.

Daniela Helayel of Issa

It’s no secret Kate loves Issa. Her widely photographed blue engagement dress was designed by Helayel. Could she also be in charge of the royal gown?
