There's an awesome reason why a guy's wearing a vagina costume in NYC
Honestly, if I saw a guy on the street wearing a vagina costume, I'd probably assume he's a d-bag bro who thinks he's funny.
Not this guy. Yes, he's wearing a vagina costume — but it's for a very good reason. He's one of the brains behind Conceived in Brooklyn, a company that sells vagina costumes to "draw attention to a topic that many people aren't aware of."
They're donating $10 from every costume sale to help the non-profit 50 Cents. Period. to help further its mission of empowering women and girls with "programs and pathways that ensure equitable access to resources and services targeting their mental and reproductive health needs."
To get the word out, the pair is making the rounds around NYC in their vagina costumes. You could see them anywhere, from getting a hot dog from a street vendor, to skateboarding near the Brooklyn Bridge. The costumes aren't exactly drawn to scale and your head pokes out where the clitoris would be, but they're pretty sweet — and they're for a good cause, so even better.
The pink costumes are a steal at $149, but you had better get your order in now if you're planning on donning the female anatomy for Halloween 2016: They're backordered until at least August.
