For most women, an engagement is a pretty big deal — but what happens when the romantic moment you think you’re about to have turns into something brutal and heartbreaking?
There’s a video making its rounds on the Internet portraying this exact thing… When YouTube user beanyneilpudsey learnt that his girlfriend was being unfaithful and sending dirty text messages to another man, he decided to keep his mouth shut and wait — so he could plan his revenge.
He created an elaborate fake proposal, even decorating their house beautifully with tea candles, rose petals and glitter leading up the stairs. The video then shows the unsuspecting woman looking genuinely happy as she climbs the stairs of their home and sits on the bed to read the first letter.
But then her soon-to-be-ex hands her a heart-shaped card, which reads, “When owls fly and tweet tweet twoo, this is the big question I’m asking you.” But it’s not marriage that is on his mind — it’s a question asking who the heck she is cheating on him with.
Some will no doubt feel really bad for the woman, but there are also a lot of people who think that she got exactly what she deserved.
Comments on the video include, “The song choice… genius! It Must’ve Been Love But It’s Over Now. Ha!”, “didn’t show her reaction long enough… I wanted to see her TRY to explain” and “The cruelest thing he did was cover the floor in glitter. Never goes away.”
The video is 16 minutes long, and over the last three weeks (that’s how long he knew about her cheating) beanyneilpudsey had clearly planned out everything. He may even have achieved what he set out to do — create the “best dumping video of a cheating girl you will ever see.”
Although “best” could easily be alternated with “most cruel.”
