How to train for your first half marathon

So you’ve finally committed to 13.1 miles and now it’s time to determine your training plan, adjust your eating habits and figure out how the heck you’re going to survive the next several months.

We get it; there’s a lot to worry about. You have bad knees, you don’t have time to run and 13 miles sounds really far. To help ease impact and help get you through, SheKnows is going to run our first half marathon and share the experience. Follow our journey on Twitter at #RnRAZ and #SKRunning!

Mission: Finish the half marathon at the P.F. Changs Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon and Half Marathon. If you haven’t already signed up for your race, consider making a trip to Arizona next year for this one on January 19th. The roads are flat and the weather is beautiful; you can sign up here and let the training begin!
