Jessica Simpson ditches Weight Watchers

Jessica Simpson finally admitted that she’s pregnant with baby No. 2. Now for the bigger question: What will she do about her Weight Watchers endorsement deal?

Jessica Simpson confirmed her second pregnancy the exact same way she announced her first one: through an adorable TwitPic. This time, she tweeted a photo of 7-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew with “Big Sis” carved into the sand.

Adorable!

The biggest question on everyone’s minds, though, is this: What about her $3 million deal with Weight Watchers? The diet company doesn’t recommend the diet for pregnant women.

A rep for the company told ABC News that “there have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica. [She] will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy.”

The commercials she shot showing off her 50-pound weight loss will continue to air through the winter.

“Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news,” the rep continued.

The spokesperson also alluded to a continued relationship with the Fashion Star mentor into 2013 and beyond.

“After she gives birth, Jessica and her doctor will decide when she may resume following the Weight Watchers program,” the rep said.

We also suspect she’ll be watching her diet a little more closely than she did during her first pregnancy.

“During pregnancy, I didn’t really think about it,” she told Katie Couric in September. “I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water and whenever my water broke, my whole entire stomach would go down, but that did not happen. All the weight did not come out with the baby.”

“I feel like what made me eat more is my hormones and breastfeeding. I’ve never wanted chocolate more in my life.”

At least now she can wear designs from the maternity line she designed with Destination Maternity.

“I’m so excited to partner with Destination Maternity to design a collection of fashionable styles that make you look and feel great!” Simpson said in May. “You want to wear clothes that are flattering to your baby bump; you want to show your bump off.”

And who knows better than Jessica?
