Class parties are always a blast for kids. The regularly scheduled programming that is school gets switched up — classes are shortened, even canceled, so for a few blissful moments kids can feast with their friends. But these parties are usually candy-filled affairs, which can lead to some wacky, sugar-fueled behavior in the afternoon. Because children can't live on sugar alone and schools are increasingly requesting healthier snacks, parents may find themselves scrambling for some new class party ideas.

I've always found the best way to get children excited about snacktime is to get creative. Sometimes a whimsical presentation is all it takes to mix things up. Whether your kids have a sweet tooth or walk on the savory side of life, these non-candy snacks are a healthy but still super-fun way to satisfy their cravings.
