Nothing beats an ice-cold margarita at the end of a long day or to kick off a party, but honestly, who has time to squeeze all of those limes by hand? Whether you have a citrus reamer or a lime juicer, it still takes a long time to get all that good stuff out, so more often than not we find ourselves picking up a pre-bottled margarita mix and leaving the fresh stuff to the pros.

But not all margarita mixes are made equal. We tend to like those sweetened with agave nectar and real cane sugar instead of corn syrup, as well as those that rely on real lemon and lime juice as opposed to citric acid and artificial flavorings.
We had the fun job of finding the best bottled margarita mixers on the market, and thankfully found a bunch that we’d be happy to serve at any party. Just add tequila or mezcal, and you’ve got yourself the perfect summer sipper, no carpal tunnel-inducing citrus juicing needed.
Tres Agaves Organic Margarita Mix
A good margarita mix should be simple, and Tres Agaves knows that. Their legitimately delicious version is made from water, agave nectar, and lime juice concentrate, giving it just the right amount of sweetness and acidity so it can stand up to your tequila.
Kirkland Signature Non-Alcoholic Margarita Mix
Like most Costco items, this Kirkland Signture non-alcoholic margarita mix is actually delicious. Depending on your location, you can pick up a two-pack of the mix along with some discounted tequila the next time you’re at the store, then enjoy margaritas on-demand any night of the week.
Ficks Premium Cocktail Mix
Low-calorie margarita mixes are hit or miss, but Ficks does a good job. Their mix is sweetened with agave nectar and cane sugar, with a little stevia added to boost the sweetness, but thanks to the use of real sweetners, the mix doesn’t have a weird, artificial flavor like some other brands do.
Withco Agave Margarita Cocktail Mixer
It can be hard to capture that fresh citrus taste in a bottled mixer, but Withco’s agave margarita mix (just add tequila or mezcal) manages it beautifully.
Stirrings Simple Margarita Mix
Stirrings is a popular brand you can find at almost every grocery store or well-stocked liquor store, and for good reason. Their margarita mix is the perfect balance of tart and sweet.
Watermelon Margarita Owl’s Brew Cocktail Mixer
Owl’s Brew makes surprisingly complex, tea-based mixers. This watermelon margarita mix, made with white tea, watermelon, and raspberry, is made with real juices and is unlike any other margarita you’ve ever tried.
Agalima Organic Authentic Margarita Drink Mix
A salted rim is one of the essential components to a well-balanced marg, but if you don’t have any on hand, try this organic margarita mix from Agalima, which adds salt right to the mixer itself.
Collins Jalapeno Margarita Mix
Real jalapeno puree adds a spicy, peppery kick to this margarita mix. It’s also made with real lime, lemon, and orange juice, and all you have to do is add the tequila.
Marys Margarita Mix
If you’re all about adding as much citrus flavor to your margaritas as possible, then Marys margarita mix is about to become your favorite mixer. It’s made with lime juice, key lime juice, mandarin, tangerine, and calamansi, for the most complex tart, floral, citrus-forward flavor we’ve tried in a pre-bottled mix.
