1. BreathBiofeedback app (Free)

Designed for the Droid, BreathBiofeedback can help you de-stress through deep breathing and feedback on the screen. Biofeedback has been shown to promote relaxation, reduce high blood pressure, and improve overall general health. You simply tap on the screen each time you breathe in and the display will help you slow and deepen your breathing.

2. Silva Deep Relaxation app (Free)

For the iPhone, this relaxation app isn’t one you’d use during the rush hour commute, but it can certainly help you decompress once you get home. Featuring a 30-minute deep relaxation track, a 20-minute relaxation meditation exercise, and a 20-minute tranquil relaxation guide, your smartphone will become a convenient source of stress relief. 

3. Stress Check app (Free)

When your work stress starts ratcheting up, turn to your smartphone for the Stress Check app, which not only helps you lower your stress, but can also teach you more about your stress so you can take control of it. This app provides stress scores that allow you track the source of your stresses as well as your stress relief, office yoga poses, and guided meditation exercises that you can do anywhere.
