Vegan Green Smoothie

The popularity of the green drink from Dr Oz and the onslaught of New Year's diet resolutions has given rise to the health-conscious search for the best green drinks and green smoothie recipes. Many green smoothies feature dairy products, which add a thick "eatable" consistency, so we created this thick, rich vegan green smoothie that not only tastes delicious, it is dairy-free and can be enjoyed as a diet-friendly vegan breakfast drink, vegan snack, or even a vegan dessert if you get a milkshake craving.

Vegan Green Smoothie

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, peeled, thickly sliced, frozen

  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 small avocado, peeled, pitted, diced

  • 2 cups spinach leaves, chard, or kale

  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice


Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
