Rosemary, basil and mint (three popular homegrown herbs used in so many of our favorite dishes) are wonderfully highlighted here in three beautifully green herb-infused cocktails!
We tried these with and without the alcohol… and let’s just say they’re delicious either way! Fun to pair with spring and summer dishes… just be sure if you’re making in bulk to increase the recipes accordingly and add the club or sparkling sodas right before serving!

Basil pepper Caipirinha recipe
Yields 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon white peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 lime, cut into 4 pieces
- 10 basil leaves
- 2 ounces cachaça
- 2 ounces lime soda (club soda works too and will make it less sweet)
- 1 basil leaf for garnish
- Crushed ice
Directions:
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle white peppercorns, sugar, lime juice, lime pieces and 10 basil leaves.
- Add cachaça and shake the mixture well. Strain into a rocks glass over ice.
- Top drink off with lime soda and garnish with sprig of basil.

Rosemary and gin fizz
Yields 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons rosemary simple syrup (recipe below)
- Club soda to top it off
- 1 lemon slice
- 1 rosemary sprig
Directions:
- Shake gin, lemon juice and rosemary simple syrup (recipe below) in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top it off club soda. Garnish with lemon slice and rosemary sprig
Rosemary simple syrup recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 rosemary springs
Directions:
- In a small pot, bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring often until the sugar dissolves. Remove pot from heat and add two rosemary sprigs. Allow the rosemary to steep in the simple syrup mixture for at least 45 minutes.
- Remove rosemary sprigs and use or store covered in the refrigerator for future use.

Cucumber mint vodka fizz
Yields 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
- 12 mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 lime cut into 4 pieces
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 ounces vodka
- Crushed ice
- Club soda, ginger ale or lemon soda for topping
- 3 thinly sliced cucumber rounds
- Mint sprig for garnish
Directions:
- In a cocktail glass, muddle together the mint leaves, sugar, lime pieces and lime juice.
- Fill glass with crushed ice 3/4 full. Pour vodka over the ice. Top cocktail off with soda of choice and garnish with cucumber slices and mint sprig.
