James Bond a beer drinker?
Can you imagine 007 parking his expensive car, walking up to a classy bar in his expensive suit and ordering a… beer? You’ll have to soon.
Fans of James Bond have come to expect certain qualities in their suave leading man, from the clothes he wears to the cocktails he drinks.
Bond has always been a martini drinker: shaken, not stirred. As you can imagine, this is not sitting well with Bond enthusiasts. While past movies have made other small changes to the books, and even had him ordering a mojito in Die Another Day, none have caused such an uproar as James Bond foregoing his martini for a – gasp – beer. It remains to be seen if excessive product placement will prove to be a downfall for both brands.
