Vampire-inspired adult beverages

You never know who might show up at your house this season. Be prepared for all the vampires, witches, goblins and ghouls by stocking your liquor cabinets with these hauntingly tasty libations.

True Blood cocktails

It’s no secret that a vampire’s favorite drink is blood, but you can’t serve that at your Halloween party. Luckily there are several vampire approved options that won’t freak out your guests.

Wine is to us normal folk, what blood is to vampires. A great wine can feed the soul even if we wouldn’t kill for it. The following spooky wine options from Vampire Vineyards will be the perfect accents to your Halloween bash or on any evening with a full moon.

Chateau Du Vampire- Midnight Rendezvous

This haunted blend combines flavors of cocoa, dark fruit flavors and a hint of spiciness. It is primarily made up of Syrah, followed by Grenache, Cournoise and Mourvedre. This wine would hold up to a hearty meal such as braised lamb or a thick stew.

TrueBlood Pinot Noir

In typical Pinot Noir fashion, this version is fruity with noticeable flavors of blackberry and cherry. Trueblood Pinot Noir would pair well with a spicy dish or a creamy pasta dish like fettuccine alfredo.

Vampyre Vodka

Not a wine lover? No, problem. Dracula isn’t picky when it comes to booze. This blood red Vampyre Vodka will make the perfect ghoulish accent to any of your favorite cocktails. Our favorite? A Bloody Mary, naturally. Liquid architect Kim Haasarud created this martini just in case you are hanging out with more posh vampires.

Witches’ Brew

Last but certainly not least, for the college-aged vamps or those that simply like to watch football, we have Witches’ Brew. It is a golden ale with a smooth finish. It is presented like champagne so you can drink beer and still feel classy as image is everything to vampires. However with an alcohol content of 9.3%, it seems that this beer was created to knock you out before you become a mid-night snack. This would pair nicely with a burger, cooked rare.
