Coca Cola recipe revealed
The tight-lipped secret Coca Cola recipe has been revealed! Now, we all have the chance to make your own homemade version of Coke. The Coke recipe, which dates back to 1886, was discovered in a 1979 edition of the Atlanta Constitution-Journal.
This weekend, the radio show, "This American Life" broadcast what they say is the original recipe for Coca Cola.
In their studios, they mixed up a batch of the ingredients and when they sampled it they were unable to tell the difference between their liquid concoction and their bottled Coca Cola.

This Coke recipe is 2 ounces of flavor for every 5 gallons of syrup.
- Alcohol: 8 ounces
- Orange oil: 20 drops
- Lemon oil: 30 drops
- Nutmeg oil: 10 drops
- Coriander: 5 drops
- Neroli: 10 drops
- Cinnamon: 10 drops
- Fluid extract of Coca: 3 drams USP
- Citric acid: 3 oz
- Caffeine: 1 oz
- Sugar: 30 (unclear quantity)
- Water: 2.5 gal
- Lime juice: 2 pints, 1 quart
- Vanilla: 1 oz
- Caramel: 1.5 oz or more for color
