How to simplify breakfast time

Trying to get out of the house in the morning is hectic enough – who has time to make breakfast? But we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so instead of skipping it, why not simplify it instead? Here’s how to simplify breakfast time.

Prepare what you can the night before. If you plan to make omelettes, chop the vegetables. If you want a smoothie to jumpstart your day, slice fruit such as strawberries, pineapple and mango so you
can just toss all the ingredients into the blender come morning time.

Step 2: Prepare the coffee beforehand

Coffee is synonymous with breakfast. Cut your morning caffeine fix preparation in half by filling the coffee pot with water and coffee grinds before you go to bed at night. If you have an automated
coffee maker, simply set the timer. If not, all you have to do is switch it on in the morning.

Step 3: Keep it neat

Make clean-up a breeze by using paper plates and utensils or preparing an easy meal that requires few pots, pans or dishes such as toast with peanut butter and jelly, frozen breakfast burritos or
whole grain bagels with cream cheese.

Step 4: Avoid hassle

Splurge on fresh-squeezed orange juice for the weekend when you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Instead, pick up a carton from the market and save precious minutes during the busy workweek.

Step 5: Multi-task

While the bread is toasting and coffee is percolating, do what you can to prepare for getting out of the house. Pack your briefcase, get the kids lunches ready or make your to-do list for the day
