If you’re anything like us, you’re constantly trying to find new ways to incorporate more cheese into your life, but, you know, while still trying to be healthy and blah, blah, blah. And if you’ve also set a personal record jotting, “Lose weight, dammit!” as your New Year’s resolution for the fifth consecutive year, you’re probably pretty stringent about what you track on your calorie-tracking app. Goodbye, night cheese. Sayonara, charcuterie at brunch…
But wait! What if we told you that you can still eat cheese and stay faithful to your diet? We’re serious.
Gear up for a hallelujah, because Costco is now selling cheese wraps that come in three flavors: cheddar, Parmesan and Jarlsberg.
These lightly baked sheets of cheese, called Folios Cheese Wraps, range from 170 to 180 calories per wrap, have zero carbs and are packed with anywhere from 12 to 14 grams of protein. They’re also lactose- and gluten-free and have no starch, wheat, flour, fillers or added sugars.
Aside from rolling and folding these up like a burrito, you can also microwave them and form a bowl for your salads. Or, you can make tarts and rollups — the ideas are seemingly endless. Lotito Foods, which produces these cheese wraps, even has a list of delicious recipes demonstrating all the creative ways to use these sheets (including in a dessert!).
According to Instagram user @sydgoesketo, the wraps can be found in the cheese section of your local Costco next to the dairy and meat.
