We Want to Try These McDonald’s International Items, Available at One US Location

Whenever I’m munching on a humble pile of McNuggets or scarfing down plain-old french fries, I think wistfully about the international items I’ve seen on social media that are served up in McDonald’s restaurants all around the world. Well, McDonald’s must have been reading my mind, because to keep us from getting bored with their current offerings, they’re bringing four items from other countries to their restaurants in South Florida.

Forget a trip to Disney World. I want to get down there so I can try a Spanish hamburger, Hong Kong chicken sandwich, Malaysian seasoned fries and a McFlurry from the Netherlands.

Here’s the rundown on the items.

Grand McExtreme bacon burger

The Grand McExtreme bacon burger from Spain consists of a burger patty topped with Gouda, applewood-smoked bacon, onions and McBacon sauce.

BBQ McShaker fries

BBQ McShaker fries are from Malaysia, and as the name implies, they’re basically barbecue-flavored french fries. You mix the fries and seasoning together yourself to bring an added level of fun to your meal.

McSpicy chicken sandwich

Hailing from Hong Kong, there’s the McSpicy chicken sandwich. Um, can this one stay? It’s a crispy chicken sandwich that’s, well, spicy, and let’s be real — this should be a McDonald’s staple stateside already.

Stroopwafel McFlurry

Last but certainly not least, there’s the Stroopwafel McFlurry. If you’re not familiar, stroopwafels are thin waffle cookies filled with a lightly spiced caramel. Usually, you set them over your cup of coffee so the steam warms the caramel and makes everything all gooey, but here, they’re blended with vanilla ice cream instead. Sounds pretty tasty!

If you want to try the new menu items, you’ll have to travel to Miami-Dade or Broward counties in Florida, where 50 restaurants will be testing the items. They’ll be available for a limited time only, so you’d better hit up the drive-thru soon.
