Pizza Hut Just Revamped Its Delivery Service, & It's a Game-Changer
As much as we all love indulging in some takeout, that meal gets disappointing fast if it arrives lukewarm and soggy.
Double that for something like pizza that is best when it’s fresh and hot. Pizza Hut is attempting to combat this issue and has launched new delivery pouches that hope to remedy this problem by delivering pizzas up to 15 degrees hotter than usual. To even better assure a hot delivery, Pizza Hut’s delivery boxes themselves have also been upgraded. They are now thicker and have heat-trapping sides and a crisp sheet within.
All of this should mean a piping-hot pizza.
The company said it has spent more than two years examining the "delivery ecosystem," and if you are wondering what that is, it is everything. It includes the box the pizza comes in, the pizza box pouch and even the delivery process.
The new delivery pouches are made out of some pretty fancy material, and to celebrate the development of this heat-trapping technology, Pizza Hut is launching a limited-edition Pizza Parka made out of the same material as the bags. It has a 3M Thinsulate Insulation layer and a PET Aluminum layer and a high-density polyester padding. Doesn’t sound very sexy, but does sound like it’ll keep you very warm.
While it doesn't look like the parka is available to purchase online, there are still a few ways to snag one for free. All October, whenever you order a pizza from Pizza Hut's website or app, you will be entered to win one. You can also tweet a fire and pizza emoji at @PizzaHut to be entered to win one.
